I recently sampled the VitalEase Lift Sling for Toileting with Torso Belt and found it to be a great asset for safe, hygienic transfers.

The design allows easy access for toilet use without having to remove the sling entirely, which saves a lot of effort and keeps the user comfortable. The torso belt provides extra security and ensures the patient stays properly positioned during the process.

The construction of this sling feels sturdy and durable, made from breathable material that prevents overheating even during longer transfers. I liked how the reinforced straps and buckle added confidence while moving a patient, and it worked smoothly with our electric lift system. It’s also easy to clean, which is essential for repeated daily use.

It’s an excellent tool for caregivers looking for better control and safer transfers during toileting. It’s especially well-suited for elderly patients or those recovering from surgery, giving them dignity and comfort.

    ✅ Pros:

Open-bottom design for easy and hygienic toileting
Built-in adjustable torso belt for added security
    Sturdy construction with breathable fabric
Easy to clean and quick to dry
Compatible with most manual and electric lifts

    ❌ Cons:

    None that we have noticed.

Having a ceiling tracking system for my daughter, this was a fabulous find. Quality material, works great with both tracking systems that I have. Works great and highly recommend using the sizing chart for the right one. This is an excellent replacement for the one I already had.

This is a nice quality patient lifting sling that fits the Hoyer lift perfectly and makes lifting and manuevering in and out off bed and into the wheelchair very easy!

  5. Amazon Customer

This padded lift sling for toileting with color-coded, lifting straps, transfer sling for elderly individuals, post surgery, patients, and people with disabilities, toilet assist devices (large), is sold by:

“THRIVING ECOMPANY LLC” a seller with a registered agent in Wyoming
The product is made in CHINA

This lift sling is a great tool in transferring individuals with limited mobility. It appears to be well-made, but does have a very strong chemical smell upon removing it from its packaging….

It does the job once in place, but it should be easier to manage. It is a bit difficult to get positioned just right underneath the user as it can bunch up and shift during transfer if not perfectly aligned.

It takes time to get used to especially if you’re doing it…

Be sure to utilize the size chart so that you purchased the correct size for your patient.

  6. Witchy Woman

This lift works well for elderly people who have issues with walking or standing. It was easy to use.

  7. Hobie

We are new to having to use this kind of aid and a lift, but it is well constructed and thoughtfully designed.
I do recommend consulting with your doctor or therapist on figuring out the appropriate size. I think the L size is too big for a 150 lb woman?

  8. The A’s

This lift works great. Its well put together, and has plenty of padding in the right places like under the arms. There’s also a belt you can strap the person into. Puts the lifted person into a perfect position for using the toilet. It’s also highly adjustable depending on the situation.

  9. Honest Reviews

This lift sling has been a big help for my elderly father after his surgery. It’s strong, comfortable, and easy to use. The color-coded straps make it simple to figure out how to lift safely. It fits well and gives him the support he needs without hurting or pulling. We’ve used it daily and it’s held up great. Definitely recommend it for anyone needing help with transfers to the toilet.

  10. Customer Review

Comfortable without any hot spots or abrasion points. Edges are lined. Fabric is sturdy and easy to clean. Folds down to be relatively compact but the padding does make it take up some space.

Padded Lift Sling for Toileting with Color-Coded Lifting Straps, Transfer Sling for Elderly Individuals, Post-Surgery Patients and People with Disabilities, Toilet Assist Devices (Large) (Large) ….

This apparatus is necessary for people disabled often due to age or a surgery that has left them somewhat incapacitated. It provides a safe transfer to toilet with a comfortable padded seat and secure belt. Important to note that included in the packaging is the sling only and does not include the hardware apparatus. It is compatible with electric and manual patient lifts.

My father at one time needed one of these. I ordered this one to donate to any local healthcare facility who would appreciate having it.

    Our Honest Opinion: Highly Recommend

This sling is very sturdy and well made, with good stitching. The additional loops for sizing are wonderful and makes transfers so much easier. The material seems easy to clean and is super durable.

  17. Authentically Opinionated

Overall, I really like this padded hoyer-style sling from VitalEase. It is a nice, dependable aid for helping move those with mobility issues – especially for toileting given that the shape of the sling has an open-bottom design. The torso belt provides some additional security during transfer. It did have a bit of a strong odor at first, but this eventually went away over the first week and a half. It is a sturdy and adjustable tool. Very happy with it.

  18. Honest Reviewer

This sling meets my expectations. It’s durable and easy to clean.

We used this lift sling for our elderly parent after getting out of the hospital. It worked well in getting our parent out of bed / chair and also to the bathroom.

  20. Samantha

Padded Lift Sling for Toileting and Transfer is well-made. It sewn securely and strong. The material has padding which helps. I feel comfortable needing to use this knowing it isn’t going to break or tear. It’s solid.

  21. Bill M

This padded lifting sling is well made with durable heavy material. It is somewhat easy to slip under the patient’s shoulders but does require some lifting or repositioning of the patient before it can be put to use. The images in the listing show the black retention strap positioned around the model’s waist but the one I received barely fell below the patient’s arm pits with the top edge slightly below the top of his shoulders.

I didn’t get a patient lift hoist delivered before this sling no longer become necessary, so I didn’t get the opportunity to fully test it for function. I did however utilize it several times for sitting up my patient (to minimize inducing severe pain through physical contact) so that he could be assisted in standing or moved to a wheelchair. Even though my use of this sling was limited, I still feel having it on hand to assist with moving my patient with minimal pain, made it well worth the expense.

  22. Benjamin Blankenship

Excellent – it provides ample support and can withstand high amounts of weight. I’m quite surprised at how well this has held up given it must support a full sized adult. It is quite comfortable despite its design. You never want to be in a situation when you need one of these, but if you are, this sling is a great option.

  23. Twinpossible

This wasn’t what we were looking for, for my mother’s dementia assistance, as she evolves into the late stages. I ordered a product that doesn’t fit the bill for us, very unfortunately— so in all fairness, I feel I must rate this product 5 stars, since review completion cannot be obtained. It does appear to me made well/ build quality is very nice, but in motion I can’t say a word about this product. If it’s what you need .. I doubt you’ll he disappointed.

    5 stars ✨!

This sling is working very well. It seems no sling provides an absolute feeling of security for the person being lifted, but that’s common with every sling and every person I’ve ever used one with.

This sling is very well made, easy to use and to install.
