Important: Height and weight are NOT primary sizing parameters. Choose size by B (underarm width / half-torso girth) and C (sling length). Use weight only as a final safety check (do not exceed the lift/sling rating). Position: Patient seated (preferred) or lying on the back. Use a soft tape.
1) B — Width at Underarm Line (half-torso girth)
- Start the tape at the center of the chest at underarm level.
- Wrap it around the back and return to the chest (this is a half circumference).
- Record B.
- If bulky pads/outerwear will be used, add ½–1 in.
2) C — Sling Length
- From the top of the shoulder (acromion) measure straight down to the crease behind the knee.
- Then continue the tape over/around the back of the knee onto the thigh by 2–3 in (to simulate how the leg section wraps).
- Record C.
3) Torso Belt Size (if your model has a belt)
- Measure a full circumference around the torso at belt height (around the navel).
- Pick a belt size that covers your circumference:

How to Choose Your Sling Size
- Pick by B (main driver): choose the sling size whose B is equal to or 1–2 in larger than your measured half-torso girth.
- Confirm C: the sling’s C should be equal to or slightly longer than your measured length (for comfortable leg-strap placement at the groin crease).
- Confirm belt fit: your torso circumference must be within the belt size range above.
- Safety check only: height/weight are not primary for sizing; simply confirm you do not exceed the sling/lift weight rating.
First-lift fit check: no underarm pinching, leg straps rest at the groin crease, patient remains centered without leaning.
